Dylan Fest AC 2017

In 2015, Bob Dylan fans had the opportunity to relive an historic moment in rock history and celebrate the songs that chronicled social issues such as war and civil rights, plus Dylan’s biggest rock classics, at "Dylan Fest AC" on August 28th, 2015, at Dante Hall Theater of Stockton University in Atlantic City.

A live musical celebration and tribute to the ever-popular Bob Dylan and Levon & the Hawks took place Friday, August 28th, 2015 at Dante Hall Theater in Atlantic City (7:30pm).  DYLAN FEST AC celebrated the 50th anniversary of the birthplace of Bob Dylan and The Band right here at the Jersey Shore. Dylan’s discovery of Levon Helm and The Hawks (later to become the Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Famers, The Band) in Somers Point, N.J. at the club Tony Mart’s in August 1965 has been called “…one of the most decisive moments in rock history,” by Time magazine.

The show mirrored  the Dylan/Hawks shows of 50 years ago with the first set (acoustic) by Philadelphia’s Peter Stone Brown and the second set (electric) by the Atlantic City-area based 5 Believers, the region's most genuine Dylan tribute band.

The sold out show was followed by Dylan Fest AC 2016 and 2017.

Celebrate Bob Dylan's music and his musical connections to South Jersey and the Band at the 3rd Annual Dylan Fest AC on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 in Atlantic City at multiple venues in Atlantic City's Ducktown neighborhood. See all ticket information below. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Pay online, call or visit the box office, or e-mail the theatre.

ABOUT DANTE HALL THEATER

Dante Hall Theater, an intimate 240-seat performing arts center, serves Atlantic City and surrounding communities as a vital cultural center. Enjoy live concerts, professional and amateur theater and performing arts, children’s theater and much more.

Located in historic “Duck Town” of Atlantic City, Dante Hall was built in 1926 by St. Michael’s Catholic Church, serving as a community theater. St. Michael’s closed its school in the late 80s, and Dante remained dormant until a $3.5 million renovation, funded by the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, was completed in 2003. Renamed “Dante Hall Theater of the Arts,” this beautiful space reopened with the promise of renewing the tradition of serving Atlantic City as a home for the performing arts.

Tickets for Dante Hall Theater events can be purchased online or directly through the Stockton College Box Office up until 1 1/2 hours before show time. Dante Hall Theater's Box Office will be open on show dates only, 1 1/2 hours prior to show time.
